    Raising Race Conscious Children

    Presenter: Raising Race Conscious Children

    An expert from Raising Race Conscious Children will be coming in to speak to parents and caregivers about what is means to raise children who are conscious of race and not colorblind. During the interactive workshop, parents and caregivers will gain practical tools and conversation starters for talking to their children about race, racism, injustice, and privilege.

     

    The cost of the workshop is $10 per family, and there is limited childcare with pizza dinner for kids at an additional cost of $10 per family. No family will be turned away due to lack of funds.     Helping Children Navigate Big Emotions

    Managing Screens & Social Media

    We will be watching and discussing the award-winning documentary, "Screenagers", a film that probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including the director's own, and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games, academics, and internet addiction. Through surprising insights from experts, solutions emerge on how we can empower kids to best navigate the digital world. The event is free to attend, and there is limited childcare with pizza dinner for kids at a cost of $10 per family.
