• Director of Operations

    Summary: The Director of Operations (DO) has the primary responsibility to assist the Senior Pastor in the planning, development, and implementation for cohesive operation of the church. The DO serves as the primary point of contact for church office management, works with our finance and bookkeeping service providers, oversees facilities maintenance and usage, assists with human resource documentation and filing, collaborates weekly with team leaders to ensure coverage for all aspects of the worship service, and provides logistical support for events and meetings.

    Reporting: This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Takes lead in the following areas:
      • Office Management.
      • Internal and external church communications.
      • Completing, filing and renewal of all human resource documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws.
      • Coordinate events to assure they are intentionally related to the growth and connection of the church body and are in line with the vision and mission.
      • Procedures for scheduling building use and ensure implementation. 
      • Ensure all safety plans are up to date, document leader training according to policy and procedures.
    • Give direction to facility and office systems development. 
    • Maintenance of church database.
    • Work with Senior Pastor to ensure financial management policies and procedures are followed in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Support functions of human resource management to assure compliance with applicable laws as well as the policies of the church.
    • Ensure the facilities and grounds are kept in “newness” condition through systems of cleaning, maintenance and highlighting needed improvements to assure safety and environmental consciousness. 
    • Review vendor relationships to ensure good stewardship and respond to changing needs. 
    • Oversee equipment and furnishing inventory and maintain accurate records.

    Other Responsibilities

    • Participate in staff meetings and Church Council meetings as assigned.
    • Support pastor during congregational meetings and events as assigned.
    • Seek opportunities for professional growth.
    • Participate in and lead trainings as appropriate.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Pastor.

    Work Week: This is a 25 hours part-time position. Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, evening and weekend hours in order to support events and functions.
     

    Wage: 25 hr/wk position. $16-$18/hr.
     

    Benefits: Prorated vacation, holiday, personal leave and professional development.
     

    Probationary Period: Three (3) months initial probation. After the probationary period, the individual will be evaluated annually. This is an at will position.
